Morning all...In the absence of anything pressing that could be done, we went to the cinema. FIlm was good...also very empty in there, we could have played musical chairs and not banged in to anyone until the very very bitter end...OH is still burgered. He can't lift his arm very well, he's bruised his muscles or his ribs, can't take a deep breath without pain, and he's a mess of bruise. Otherwise, normal service....Mechanic can't get my car part until at least Friday and was dismissive of me asking if I could get it on the internet, citing rubbish quality. Fair enough. That means though no car for two weeks, which is great for the environment and probably great for my pocket because I won't be going out spending..Today, OH has to somehow get his bike to the repair shop [no, not that one] and I can't help him. I am down to do some final garden putting to bed, last mow hopefully and a bit of shifting of stuff around if I can. And maybe a bit of compost shifting from back to front. I also need to pot on the final bit of cheese plant alive from my mothers old monster. I'm hoping it will be a monster too. I am usually terrible at keeping house plants alive.TA,sounds very fun and whirlwindy...enjoy the sit down at lunch. Ruby, don't go doing more than you can eh? Good news about Nelski, good to hear she's coming on. Gers, is that a regular thing up up North? Earthquakes that is. Snozer, hope things go well for Steve today. Nanny, hope all your laundry woes are over...And he's ok really, just very battered and bruised...Commiserations for those in pain after jabs...And be super nice to yourselves today, just because...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi13

Morning all, dull but not cold today.Sorry I feel I've not posted properly for a while, just had a really hectic few days. DNiece's birthday meal out was great, it was so nice for the family to get together. Various football related engagements, and also trying to get DGS birthday pressies sorted for next week, so need to get wrapping now- DS has kindly brought his too
Once that's done I can think about Christmas!
I had a long chat yesterday with my ex SisIL, we always stayed friendly and even went to her wedding when she remarried to a lovely chap. Anyway we are finally going to meet up again and go for a meal in Manchester next week so that will be nice.Nice to hear good news about Nelski RR, thanks for the update. Glad you had a happy bolognese bake day TAI think we will have salmon for tea tonight. I have used up a few meals from the freezer that I made, so have a bit of room to play with, and will do my Mr T order shortly. I could also do with making a loaf Csarina- DGS likes my bread toasted above all othersHope everyone has a nice day xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, it's very overcast again.Yesterday didn't go as I'd hoped as there was an endless stream of interruptions, mostly from delivery men bringing parcels and all but one of them for DD. We are fast looking like a branch of a post office warehouse 🤣 Mr Fix It needed my assistance and input into his stable project several times and then Dad turned up after his Al*i trip bearing fruit, well cooked ham, chicken thighs, 2 peppermint chocolate bars and a frozen turkey crown for us. The latter was hastily shoved in the freezer but I had to remove a loaf of bread first. Now I'll have to sort out the chest freezer as the crown is sitting at the top and I need it to be further down or I'll have to move it every time I need something. That's not going to happen today though as dad is coming over for the day so I have made us faggot and peas for lunch, which is bubbling away in the slow cooker. Tea will be crumpets followed by cream doughnuts, I can feel my waistline bulging already 😁Snoozer I hope Steve's op goes well today.Bella please send your drive man over here when he's done yours, we're still waiting for ours to start too.Scarlett I love the smell of lavender bags in a wardrobe, they remind me of my late DM. Enjoy making them with your DGD.Sunfl0w3r enjoy your time away.Nels keep up all your hard work, we need you back 🧡RedRuby thanks for the updates on Nels. Have a lovely day at work without the manager.Take care all, stay safe and warmnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14

Morning everyone
Still got a really sore ear - managed to get an appointment with a nurse yesterday. It seems I have an infection so I have antibiotic eardrops which I have to use for a week then olive oil drops as the ear is blocked with wax. If they don't work it will need syringed - the NHS don't do it anymore so it will be £60 at Specsavers! I hope the drops work.
Nels - if you're reading along - I hope the physio is helping and you get home soon.
I start work at lunchtime so I'd better make my sandwiches. We have a quiet afternoon so are going to take the children out for a walk round the village - they'll be very excited!
Hope everyone has a pleasant day today11 -
Afternoon all, been reviewing paperwork and booking PCR tests for our big Oz trip. Lots more hoops than normal, but so worth it to see those little ones.
freezer diving and garden tidying seem to be the order of the day here.
take care all, keep safe and stay wellCarolbee10 -
Carolbee - how long is it since you've seen your family?9

Hello all,
Another busy day at work but managed to leave on time for a change. Home now and waiting on pasta bolognese cooking for tea - one of my batch cooking staples. Otherwise, another quiet evening here. Hoping to do a Costco trip soon for some bulk buying so gradually building my list for that this evening - getting longer and more expensive by the minute....
Hope you all had a good day

dp1 - my DS had his ears irrigated at the DR last week - this is what they do now instead of syringing. So you can have treatment on the NHS. I have micro suction on my ears at the hospital as I have Meniere's Disease.
Been to lunch and Bible Study at the SA. Was asked to make the pudding for tomorrow's lunch - for 40.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
