Curry’s non-existent customer services!

I recently bought an AEG double oven and Hob, both at the higher end of their range. Just 5 weeks after installation, the hob stopped working and immediately after turning on, it clicked off. I contacted Curry’s and was put through to Electrolux (AEG apparently), to be told an engineer needed to come out and assess it. Engineer came out, changed the display panel component, then acknowledged it was a more serious fault and that it was the main computer. Another week and another engineer, this one had never worked on an AEG induction hob before! He struggled to get it apart, couldn’t figure out how to get into the unit, called a couple of colleagues, then, with my hob in dozens of bits, spread around my kitchen, he got to the unit and changed it. Then came the fun of him trying to put it all back together. It took him another couple of hours, (I actually photographed it as ref). When he finished, the hob stayed on, but the back zone wouldn’t work at all. The engineer swapped zones, turned the hob on and off a few times, then it suddenly started to work. I stated my concern that maybe a connection was loose, but he dismissed it and left. Surprise, surprise after just 3 days it has stopped working again. Currys won’t replace it without an uplift number, AEG won’t give a number as they want to repair it again. I paid a lot of money for this hob and it has been in bits and put back together by someone who openly admitted he had not worked on one before. I just want it replaced. Consumer Rights Act 2015 says if a serious manufacturing fault within 6 months, then it was delivered faulty and I get a replacement or refund. Currys is having none of it. I am taking them to court! I want a new hob!
