‘Digital Voice’ is what BT call their (VoIP) phone service delivered over Openreach FTTP, other providers that also use OR FTTP may have a similar service but won’t call it DV , they will call it something else.
TT don’t bother offering a phone service with Openreach FTTP, Sky do ( but it’s optional ) , the phone plugs into the Sky router , ( like BT DV ) but it’s not called Digital Voice , it’s whatever Sky chose to call their own service, and has nothing to do with BT1 -

Presumably for the time being , but ( AFAIK ) customers wanting to join TT on exchanges that have a copper stop sale policy because FTTP is available , would have to join the understanding that no TT phone service is available , ( on new builds this is the case anyway ) as you say , eventually TT will either have to provide a VOIP based phone service accessible through their router or withdraw from the telephony market .
Its unreasonable to expect OR to maintain the copper pair network just for a few customers that want to remain on copper based services ( especially if they don’t expect to pay any more than customers that only use the FTTP network ) but its unclear how long this period will be , the 2025 date is for the ‘BT’ PSTN switch off , not the entire removal of copper…for some people, the copper pair from the cabinet will remain , they will still use FTTC but telephony ( if it’s required ) will have to be a VOIP service, as far as LLU MPF providers like Sky and TT it’s unclear to me if 2025 is also a date they have to abide by

Really appreciate your input.
