    The only thing you can is simply tell the EA what the value is, show them the valuation and say you can't afford to pay more.
    If you can find some cash, maybe you can meet them in the middle or offer as much as you can. No point delaying this, really.

    Yep, not sure about "meeting in the middle" though.
