Renew driving licence when expired date

If a date is coming up to expire how does one renew their license please?

    I’ve got this form but it doesn’t have an option for just renew because it’s near to expire 

    I don’t want to change any details I’m just worried about the expiration date

    According to the Gov site, you wait for the reminder letter to arrive and use that
    Not sure what form you are using.

    You must renew a photocard licence every 10 years - you’ll receive a reminder before your current licence ends

    You’ll get a reminder letter in the post. Take it to a Post Office that deals with DVLA photocard licence renewal.

    You also need to take:

    your photocard licence if you have it
    the £21.50 fee
    If you do not have a reminder letter, you’ll need your photocard licence to apply at the Post Office.

    You cannot apply at the Post Office if your name has changed. You’ll need to apply by post.

    Depending when your licence is due to expire I'd get on with it and not wait for a letter to say it needs doing. I've been without mine now for a month HGV renewal and they didn't send me the usual reminder letter. You can order the forms on line or fill the on line forms.
