Yellow pages contract

My daughter has been bullied into a yellow pages advertising contract that she really can’t afford for a little home business that she started a month ago. She rang back a few days later to ask to cancel contract but they wouldn’t let her. They’ve reduced the price slightly. Is there really no 14 cooling off period for this?

With any luck, she's learned an important lesson early on in business.  Never let anyone bully you into signing a contract you don't want, because businesses don't have consumer rights.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

As above, it's business to consumer contracts that might have a 14 day cooling off period - it doesn't apply to business to business.

Did they say anything untrue or misleading to persuade your daughter to enter into the contract? If so, she might be able to rescind (cancel) the contract for misrepresentation.

Maybe they told her people still use the Yellow Pages

Although it is very likely she'll be listed on yell.com that people absolutely do use.
