Linked savings account not updated after current account switch

Both myself and wife have completed a current account switch into our Nationwide Flex Accounts using old TSB accounts to switch in. The required 2 direct debits came from BM Savings and PO Savings, which were transferred across, so we both received the switch incentive fine. Although the DDs are now paying monthly from the Nationwide account into the BM and PO savings accounts, when I check on BM and PO savings online they still show they are linked to the old TSB account. Strangely we've both had letters over 4 weeks ago from BM confirming they are now linked to the Nationwide Flex Account, but online it still shows the old TSB accounts are the linked accounts.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with BM and PO Savings?

I know from past experience that the Post Office doesn't normally update automatically, you would have to change the linked account and direct debit. The direct debit is probably still being paid fine, as the debit would automatically be forwarded onto the new bank details due to CASS.1

Thanks for the info. I was hoping they would sort the issue out, but it’s now pretty obvious its not going to happen. I did think of calling BM but like you, don’t want to pop my head above the parapet. So like you I’ll just tidy things up manually.Bemr said:I’ve had the same problem with BM on at least 2 switches. Receive a letter from BM saying linked a/c updated, DD gets collected fine (although the first collection after switching always gets duplicated, they collect the same DD twice a few days apart), withdrawals arrive in the switched account fine. But BM website shows the linked account as the old one and doesn’t show the regular deposit so it’s not possible to cancel that on the BM side (instead I have to cancel the whole DD on the current account side). It must be an IT issue on BM but given what I’m using the account for I don’t want to rock the boat by raising it with them. Just requires a little more admin to manually clean things up afterwards.0 -
I've had the same issue with BM after recent switches. I just clean everything up manually afterwards - I delete the old DD mandates from the switched account and then set up a new linked account using the account details in BM. I doubt their system will ever be updated, probably because I suspect they will close these accounts down at some point like they've done with some of their other similar products recently.0
