MSE Credit Club problems

Hello everyone, I am having problems accessing my MSE Credit Club report, and wondered if somone could advise.
I've been a member of credit club since 2016. I have one credit card, which I have always paid off on time and in full (via direct debit). In the past there were a couple of occasions when I tried to log in to credit club, but it said that the Experian identity verification check had failed, even though I had previously accessed my reports without any issue. On those occasions I worked out that it was because I had moved and my bank had formatted my new address incorrectly - I got that fixed, and was able to access my credit club report again.
However, in late 2019 I tried to log in and it said I had failed the identity verification check. I couldn't work out why as I hadn't moved house, and all of my details were correct. This has continued to be a problem, so every six months or so I get an 'update' email from Credit Club saying that my score has updated, but I don't know what it's updated to as I can't log in to view my report.
The only thing I think that might have affected it is that in 2019 I started doing freelance work for an old employer - I was a full-time student at the time, though I've since finished my course. I am now in full-time employment with a different organisation, but I still do the odd bit of freelance work for my old employer - this is registered with HMRC so they take the tax off at source. Of course, with it being freelance, the amount of money I earn from this varies, so I can't put down a set amount on my credit details form. Could this be causing the problem? And if so, how do I fix it? This is causing me considerable anxiety, as I'd like to be in a position to apply for a mortgage in the next few years and I'm terrified that I won't be able to get one because the system doesn't recognise me. I'm wary of signing up for other 'soft check' services - and I'm also wondering if the fact that I can't access my score is in itself somehow a black mark against me? I honestly don't know what I've done wrong; as mentioned earlier I pay my credit card off in full every month, I have never missed a payment, I've never gone into my overdraft, I'm on the electoral roll and my address details are correct. If anyone can offer advice I would very much appreciate it.
