Updating property deeds after parent passed

My father passed away last year, the probate was completed recently.
I am one of the beneficiaries of his estate and will receive my father's share in a property. I am not an executor of my father's will (family member).
There are two steps to be completed:
1. My father's name needs to be removed from the property records as he is deceased
Would I as a beneficiary of my father's estate (but not an executor) be able to complete steps 1 and 2 above, or can this only be done by the executor?

How complicated is the process and does it need a solicitor or can I complete the forms myself?

Only the executors can manage the estate so it is up to them to make changes when appropriate.I'm a retired IFA who specialised for many years in Inheritance Tax, Wills and Trusts. I cannot offer advice now, but my comments here and on Legal Beagles as Sam101 are just meant to be helpful. Do ask questions from the Members who are here to help.1

Is there another surviving owner?

Thanks all for the input, there is a surviving owner (mother) however she does not have capacity to make decisions(medical condition resulting in cognitive impairment, officially documented by doctor and is in a care home. I have a Property & Affairs Deputyship for my mother so can make decisions on her behalf though would need to check if that cover this scenario.0
