If AC are saying Vauxhall technicians are looking at it then they have passed the problem to the manufacturers.

That's certainly what I'd do be doing in the same position as there's a good chance it's happened to others and will give a better idea of what needs done.  I had a couple of problems on a car and the dealer didn't know what to do about either and had suggested a serious amount of labour or replacing a major part to try and fix it, asked on a forum and both issues were well known for the car and had simple fixes.

The Speak EV forum has a Vauxhall board, but there aren’t any similar posts there.
