Apple inc troubles

Hello, just wondered if any of you could help me ? I recently sent away to apple my iPad with broken touch button , however when apple received my iPad I was shocked to discover they got it back bent and cracked in the middle and wanting £300 to repair it! Unfortunately at the time I didn’t think to take photos before I posted it and now they are only going to post back my broken iPad :( is there anything anyone could suggest doing please ? I have already had 2 long hour discussions with apple over this , many thanks Stefan

    How was it sent?
Sounds like a claim if it was insured when sending.

So it got damaged in the post... who arranged the sending?

You;d normally claim from the courier if you sent it but damage to screens is normally excluded from standard couriers damage.
  • Thankyou , yes have contacted UPS but they said they will not do anything as the box was not damaged when it reached Apple? I am at a bit of a loss with what to do now to be honest …….

    Who arranged the UPS courier?

How is it known the box wasnt damaged? Apple undoubtably receive vast numbers of parcels a day and they wont be individually signed for/inspected on handover. Even working in an industry without physical goods all our courier parcel, SD etc come in sacks and Facilities just sign a sheet that covers the 100 items or whatever number in the sack rather than row by row.
  • You're stuck if you were responsible for packing and sending it and didn't take out the appropriate level of insurance.
