For a GSHP you either need something like a paddock i.e a large area of ground that will not be dug subsequently to lay collector pipes in trenches. Or you need boreholes, possibly more than one.Reed0

I wanted to have bore holes on the front drive but couldn't get the maths to work before I even got as far as someone out to tell me the site was unsuitableI think....0

Looked into it when building my house I have the space but my ground was unsuitable and bore holes were too expensive so went for ASHP. At the time there was no grants RHI came in 3 years after luckily I could still apply.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.0
