How do you sell on Amazon as an individual?

Hi all,
I've been trying to set up an Amazon account to shift some old textbooks. However it keeps trying to make me pay for proffesional/business membership which is about £30 a month. Do I have to sign up to do this first and then claim it back as there seems to be no other options, does anyone know? Thanks

Individual costs quite a bit more per item per sale. Individual is 90p per sale plus fees, professional costs £30 per month and no 90p fee. So if you have more than 35 items that you're going to sell in a month then it's cheaper to have a professional account.
