If you wish to maintain an account with Nationwide, why not just open a sole account before the joint is switched - very easy to do on line.
If you prefer that your salary should be credited to your sole account, you can instruct your payroll clerk accordingly.
You can then set up a monthly standing order on your sole account to pay the appropriate amount to your new joint account to cover your share of the household expenses?2 -
