Tesco Credit Card/Clubcard

Good evening,

Probably a dumb question but do you get Clubcard points when you use a Tesco credit card in any shop/online? Or only get points when used in Tesco?

I have them linked, my online Clubcard account shows points when I used my credit card in Tesco, but isn't showing points when I've used in other shops?

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Plus you’ll also collect 1 Clubcard point for every £8 spent outside Tesco in each purchase transaction.

Note the "each purchase transaction" and not total spend.

its a rubbish rate, Sainsburys give you 1 point for every £5 spend outside of the sainsburys group so very poor value also as a nectar point is worth 0.5p.

Much better off using another reward card.

If you shop in Tesco, you can scan the credit card to get the clubcard points, and then use a different card ;)

Not every card earns 1 per £8 spent

For anyone with a Tesco credit card I have just received this leaflet:
"Collect 1000 extra points on Amazon UK
When you save your Tesco bank credit Card as your default card and use to shop.
make 4 eligible transactions by 12th June 2022
Collect 250 Clubcard points on each.

gambling, cash & currency currency transactions do not qualify

additional points will be added by 31st July 2022

I generally use the partners deals with Tesco points so this would be worth £30- just going away now: curses!!

I received that as an email at the start of April. Maybe consider switching to email marketing instead of leaflets through your letterbox if you want the maximum time to make use of deals.

Well I found Katies information useful because I too have "marketing" turned off for that card!

How will you know whether this offer applies to you in that case?
