Hi, my boiler, heating and hot water system was working ok until this evening when I have found that the above controller is stuck on initialising- is there anyway to move it beyond this?
Failing that would a Drayton LP822 25464 Universal Electronic programmer be an equivalent replacement? Is this something I could do myself?

I guess you've tried turning the power off for at least 10 minutes and repowering? Was the wiring altered at all - was the backplate replaced?I don't suppose the room stat unit needs a battery in it so it communicates to get the t724r over its initialisation stage?Yes, just about any programmer will fit on the same backplate, but the LP822 would surely be a huge step backwards? The Mi Genie also has a wireless connection with its room stat, whereas the LP822 uses cables, so you'd likely have to change that too.Email/phone Drayton, and see what they say - there's a chance it's faulty, of course.
