Small Claim Defendant not sent evidence

I have opened a small claim against my builder for not finishing works they have received payment for.
I received a letter explaining to send my evidence against the defendant to the court and a copy to the builder (the defendant) by last week.
The letter suggested that I would receive the defendants evidence against my claims by the same date but I have not received anything from them.
What do I do now? What happens next? Will the court find in my favour without the need to go to court?

It depends, have they sent it to the court alone or not sent it to anyone?0

Contact the court and ask them to clarify the position.
