Fiorelli Administration

Hi, I’m absolutely fuming, I ordered 2 x bags from Fiorelli on the 29th October 2021, and I have just found out they are now in the hands of administrators since the 2nd November without any warning, the administrators replied to my email telling me I am not entitled to a refund or exchange from goods bought on line , has this happened to anyone else , the Terrible thing is they are still letting people buy online, I’m now having to go through my bank to try and get my money back, I paid with a visa debit card, hopefully my bank will be sympathetic and refund my payment , fingers crossed 🤞
Has this happened to anyone else ?

Well no, there isn't going to be a warning, it'll just tip them over the edge even faster.

the Terrible thing is they are still letting people buy online
    No, they are not.

It's not really a matter of the bank being sympathetic, it's whether your purchase is covered under chargeback rules. If you didn't receive the goods, it will be.

Has this happened to anyone else ?
Millions, I imagine, if you're talking about buying from a company that then goes into administration. Many end up as unsecured creditors and their money is essentially gone. Others end up being eligible for chargebacks or S75 and get their money back.

So i presume they've advised they won't be fulfilling the order? And yes, your bank should do a chargeback for non-receipt of goods.

Fwiw I don't think they are still letting people buy online, not unless I was looking at the wrong site. For a start, it takes some doing to get past the administratin notice (you have to go via other webpages to bypass it) and then while it does allow you to add items to your cart, there's no option to check out/complete the purchase.

And even if the administrators are still trading, they're allowed to (and if you had bought from them, you'd then have a bit more rights against the administrators) - it's a different position from having bought pre-administration.

So just what is the issue?

Most companies do not publish that they are going into administration. Not exactly good for the chance of someone saving them.

So the issue is just to warn others , no need to be sarcastic , I’m lucky my bank has refunded me this evening , others may not be so .

If that's the issue then it should be posted In Praise Vent And Warnings .

    Not being sarcastic..

Just trying to work out what your problem was. 🤷‍♂️

So at a guess you did not get the goods then?
So a simple chargeback for non receipt of goods then

But remember while you may get to keep the refund. The staff have all lost they jobs.

  • born_again,
thankyou for your comments , I was lucky my bank have refunded me, I do feel for the staff especially so close to Xmas but the staff are not my responsibility so don’t try and make me feel guilty for no fault of mine, I was just an online customer buying a product and putting my view on this forum, I was not looking for a debate , we will leave it there !

You still haven't said whether you got the goods or not, I suspect you have.

Administrators are brought in to run the company, this means continuing to trade. They do so to recoup as much money for the creditors as they can. They also trade to try and sell the business as a going concern so keep the business afloat for any potential buyers.

There is nothing dodgy about it and nothing to say you won't get your goods.

It looks to me you just saw administration and panicked for no reason.
