Parking Eye - Aldi Owned Land

My wife has just received a £40 parking fine from Parking Eye for parking on an Aldi owned car park which has on its site an Aldi store (obviously!), Iceland, Ladbrokes and McDonalds. Her and 3 other former work colleagues arranged for a monthly get together at the McDonalds due to several traffic issues in our town preventing them from getting to their regular meeting place. They met at 7PM at night, therefore didn't see any signs, parked in front of the McDonalds and went inside. They left later than intended after enjoying a good catch up and spending a decent amount on food and drink on site.
The notice arrived today saying that she spent 2 hours and 10 mins parked there, stating that there are signs saying 1 hour 30 min maximum stay. After receiving the fine, my wife immediately contacted McDonalds to be told that it was "nothing they could do as the car park was owned by Aldi". Any advice on how to proceed please? Read other forum posts where parkers have spent longer than intended in Aldi itself but haven't seen one where it's a different retailer that has been visited. Surely there's some sort of agreement between Aldi and the other retailers for parking?

It may or may not be Aldi , they could all be tenants , which is my guess seeing as an Aldi has just opened on a retail park near me , owned by British Land
A retail park management complaint , or landowner complaint and cancellation is the best option , plan A in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in the announcements
Plan B is the keeper appeal to Parking Eye
Plan C is Popla
Plan D is court , within 6 years1 -

The lower the time , the greater number of victims , equals more profit , simple maths1

I very much doubt that Aldi own the kand.
Have you read the newbies and complained to your MP.?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Complain to Aldi as they can cancel it. No different than any other Aldi one, if they do own the land.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
