Why don't you want to attach it to the door properly?

To be completely honest, I was looking for the easiest and quickest way to get this mirror mounted on the back of the door and I saw the velcro coins when browsing screwfix for something else - this prompted my original question.
This discussion has prompted me to use the screw brackets shipped with the mirror (solid door) - I had originally thought that mounting a mirror was not going to be straightforward and I might need special fixings but in reality it seems like its all well within my skillset.
Thanks to all.

You could get some 3M VHB tape (Very High Bond) off Ebay and apply a few feet of that in vertical line on the back of the mirror0
