Applying for student bank accounts

Recently I have applied for a student bank account with HSBC. However, it was quickly declined due to having no credit score to my name (having never borrowed money) I'm struggling to find any banks that will accept a student current account application with no previous credit score history. Does anyone know what I could do in this situation.
