PPL systems have been down since Sunday, Typically my solictor has been off on holiday so back this week, finally have some movement with our purchase then this happens! Checking twitter and trust pilot for updates but they are few are far between.I am not near completing so wouldnt be priority however delays obviously are a pain!
Does anyone know anything about whats actually going on and any timescales of when they will be contactable again?

Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.
  • Thank you @Sunsaru hopefuly some positive news today
  • The CLC (their regulator) has confirmed it is a security incident. https://t.co/GoYtYOUfR1
  • Thank you @johnny182. People spread panick on twitter so this info is re-assuring
  • We have gone through hell! Were due to complete Tues, didn't happen,  then  PPL held our buyers money from Wed till late today claiming they had a backlog, we were constantly bugging them for updates. I dread to think about our onwards purchase, and the data which has potentialtialy been breached. It has made me ill with stress. I never cry, this has had me in tears for days! We will pursue a formal complaint as and when that avenue becomes available, they should have had better systems in place and business continuity has been a farce. As for people spreading news on twitter,  not seen it but with personal experience, it probably isn't spreading panic but people going through real life hell, have some compassion before making such a comment !

I'd imagine a lot of their staff have over the past few days but hey-ho it won't stop people taking it out on them.
