Just spoke to my conveyancer! She said they don't start enquiries until the legal report on the contract has been sent to me. I haven't received the legal report yet, and they haven't started enquiries yet. It's been a month since the conveyancer received the draft contract - reasonable amount of time or slow? (Genuine question, not being clever!)

Not too sure how they can do a legal report without replies to enquiries, but am assuming this would be just a basic letter confirming approval of the contract and that they are awaiting responses.

If it’s my home move don’t you have an online portal to access? The legal documents are normally uploaded to there as soon as the solicitor has them.

My Home Move have never been the sharpest tool in the conveyancing tool box and the recent cyber attack on has now rendered them beyond useless as they had lost access to all systems including email, phone systems and the portal.

The issues appear to be ongoing with no resolution after several days.
