Credit report

I have just checked my Experian credit report alongside my moneysaving report. Experian gives me a score of 739/999, MSE 191/999, quire a difference, and why the difference? I also have a late payment notice on my file, however, `I have a letter from the lender admitting they made an error and that it would be removed, yet it is still showing on my file?

    Your credit score is meaningless.
  • Check only the data on your files, not the scores.

Ask the lender when the marker will be removed.  You should see it updated within the next couple of months on all your files where it appeared.

There's a perfectly logical explanation for the difference.  Experian lowers your score in direct proportion to the outside temperature, MSE doesn't.  It's started to get colder lately, so your Experian score has fallen.  It happens every year - don't worry about it, it'll start to increase round about April next year when the weather starts to warm up again.
