Morning all...Up fairly early but spent a while 'coming to'. Took crumpets and a ham hock out of the freezer last night, half the crumpets [I ate three...but what the hell] have been decluttered to my stomach. Tha hock is awaiting it's vegetable bed for gravy, and will be accompanied by roast potatoes and cabbage. I'm trying to use up freezer food first and have realised the necessity of a meal plan to do that. Look out next week, there's going to be cooking.Today I plan to get a curtain rail and a gas cannister. The first for the curtains I'm going to fit over the inner back door of the lean to [going to take the ones upstairs downstairs, then replace the ones upstairs with a pair bought from ebay which are nicer - and they weren't expensive either unlike anything with velvet in the title on there ], the second I use to light recalcitrant fires.Florence, well done on your sales. Nanny, you do 1000 pieces quickly? Nothing wrong with your noggin then
takes me days....dp1, what a good idea for a clock! Scarlet, I won five quid too! First time in years I've actually won some cash...and a lucky dip too....I might go for a celebratory dance outside...Look after yourselves you lovely lot, enjoy a day of rest...

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Usual slow start to Sunday, breakfast in bed, the a quick scan of the internet and a few pages of my book.
Veggies prepped for supper, 2 pork steaks to do in the Ninja, only take about 30 minutes in there, save the grease in the bottom of the pot for searing meat.
I seem to have inherited DB's poorly back, he is a lot better, but I forced myself to work along with the gardener on Friday and am paying for it now.
Yesterday I sewed out a design for a mat, managed to sew a bit of the end into the design on the back, so the mat is now a bit shorter than it was!!. Did not like the colours for the person I was doing it for so will need to sort out a different one.
Went to the market yesterday, the veg stall is doing a box of fruit and veggies for Christmas....£25, there is enough in it to last us 2 weeks, so a bit nearer the day I will order one and collect it.
So roast pork steaks, spuds, home grown carrots and french beans and some cauliflower, I got some plums yesterday, so might do a plum crumble.8 -
Hi everyone,
What a busy day yesterday, I was exhausted and in bed by 10 and nearly slept the clock round. Esben had a lovely day though which was the main thing. he absolutely loved the helicopter (or helitocter) and fire engine we got him. He carried the helicopter all round the zoo. It was cold there, the wind was whistling right off the Downs but we still had a good time.
It was lovely to have the whole family together for the day, it hasn't happened enough since Esben was born because of Covid. Everyone went home after dinner - L & B are having a children's party this afternoon - and to be honest I was quite grateful when they went I was so tired.
We are having a very quiet day today and we are in isolation for the next 10 days before Steve's surgery so we'll have plenty of time to recover before we see the wee man again. I want to do some deep cleaning over the next few days, I've been coasting with the cleaning a bit and it will be nice to have the place spotless, I wish I enjoyed cleaning but I absolutely do not and can be distracted very easily.
Have a good day.10 -

Slept for 10 hours last night. Church this morning then an easy rest of the day.
Want to make some more fingerless gloves as bit low on stock - sold quite a few pairs yesterday and asked for a pair in Church today.
Have to remind myself how to make them after a break from doing crochet. Should know what I am doing after making 20 pairs but my old brain says no.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
