Extortionate concert ticket charges

I’ve just bought 2 Andre Ruie tickets for Wembley at a face value price of £105 each but been charged a wapping £36 in charges to complete the transaction. That’s an additional 17% on top. That’s £5 facility fee-what’s that? £21 service fee-what’s that? And £11 credit card fee-what’s that for? What’s more there were no other options to pay to avoid these unnecessary fees. Disgraceful. Is there any way around these?

Yes.  Don't go to the concert if you think the add on costs are excessive/extortionate.  I do agree with you that the add-ons are ridiculous and I wouldn't pay.

Yes, concert tickets work rather like Ryanair, where the face value of the tickets is way less than the actual price.  You need to make the decision on whether to buy when you get the total.

The £105 is for the performance, the fees are for the venue management and ticketing operation.

Ticket prices should, in my opinion, have to include all fixed 'extra costs' as part of initial offer price.  Only option costs such as credit card charges should remain as addons, although I thought it was no longer permitted to charge extra for the use of credit cards.

Only if you're using a business credit card. Switch to using a personal card and you won't have to pay extra.

Probably find the payment services provider handling the cards is a separate company with "sarl" at the end, thats their fees, and that its coincidentally a subsidiary of the same holding group as the ticketing company.
