Can we maybe give the OP a chance to come back on this? They are as entitled as anyone else to post an SOA here. If there IS debt we’re not seeing, then the last thing we want to do is make them feel unwelcome…

She's hardly a newbie, she's been on MSE for years and knows how to post a proper SOA

She posted just a few weeks ago that she was debt-free following her bankruptcy in 2017 and had £12,000 savings. Not sure what the point of this SOA is. Maybe it was meant for her diary thread?

Unlikely I think as she's not posted there for a while.

Anyway, just by way of a reminder to anyone unfamiliar with it ... https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6105508/pls-remember-debt-free-wannabes-for-support-and-help-not-judgement#latest

Whether someone is new or not, we tend to try to avoid a confrontational feel on here, as Martin said originally, on DFW we need to err on the side of kindness. Imagine that someone who IS new sees a posts that perhaps comes across as someone "not having a good enough reason" to post here, and so is scared away and doesn't get much  needed help and support - not the outcome we would want, at all.

Completely agree about the gaps - if you are actually saving that figure at the end then there are definitely errors in there somewhere as it shouldn’t be possible!

You have an amount in for phone - is that landline? If so how about mobiles, presumably with several teens in the house there are a number of those?

Why on earth are you paying Experian £15 a month?

If you’re purely posting this to get us to check it over then that’s absolutely fine but it’s helpful to explain that, and also to use the template (link in my signature) as that is far easier to both check that in fact everything is being covered, and also so see any areas that look too high, too low.

From what you have posted, it seems that your car is costing you the best part of £4000 a year which is a LOT of money. I also suspect that the amount you’re putting aside to cover repairs isn’t enough - that will barely cover servicing let alone tyres, other consumables, and MoT. Why has your insurance cost increased so much since you last did an SOA?
Sorry I’ve been off I have Covid and been really poorly.
insurance is high as I had 2 accidents this year and drive a minibus. I have lots of kids to get to school etc

Have a look at your  bank and credit card statements for the last few months.
Some people also find keeping a spending diary helpful, if just for a month or so. It’s tends to be the smaller spends that get overlooked, but they’re the ones that can add up.
    Hope you’re feeling better now.
