Can we maybe give the OP a chance to come back on this? They are as entitled as anyone else to post an SOA here. If there IS debt we’re not seeing, then the last thing we want to do is make them feel unwelcome…She's hardly a newbie, she's been on MSE for years and knows how to post a proper SOAShe posted just a few weeks ago that she was debt-free following her bankruptcy in 2017 and had £12,000 savings. Not sure what the point of this SOA is. Maybe it was meant for her diary thread?poppy101

Unlikely I think as she's not posted there for a while.
Anyway, just by way of a reminder to anyone unfamiliar with it ... https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6105508/pls-remember-debt-free-wannabes-for-support-and-help-not-judgement#latest
Whether someone is new or not, we tend to try to avoid a confrontational feel on here, as Martin said originally, on DFW we need to err on the side of kindness. Imagine that someone who IS new sees a posts that perhaps comes across as someone "not having a good enough reason" to post here, and so is scared away and doesn't get much needed help and support - not the outcome we would want, at all.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

EssexHebridean said:Completely agree about the gaps - if you are actually saving that figure at the end then there are definitely errors in there somewhere as it shouldn’t be possible! You have an amount in for phone - is that landline? If so how about mobiles, presumably with several teens in the house there are a number of those? Why on earth are you paying Experian £15 a month? If you’re purely posting this to get us to check it over then that’s absolutely fine but it’s helpful to explain that, and also to use the template (link in my signature) as that is far easier to both check that in fact everything is being covered, and also so see any areas that look too high, too low. From what you have posted, it seems that your car is costing you the best part of £4000 a year which is a LOT of money. I also suspect that the amount you’re putting aside to cover repairs isn’t enough - that will barely cover servicing let alone tyres, other consumables, and MoT. Why has your insurance cost increased so much since you last did an SOA?
insurance is high as I had 2 accidents this year and drive a minibus. I have lots of kids to get to school etcJust a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
I am not saving £1000 a month, I’m not saving anything and actually struggling some months so looking to see what I have missed off my SOA. Will do it again and include the missing bitsJust a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!1

Have a look at your bank and credit card statements for the last few months.
Some people also find keeping a spending diary helpful, if just for a month or so. It’s tends to be the smaller spends that get overlooked, but they’re the ones that can add up.Hope you’re feeling better now.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
I hope you get back to full health soon Kim1

And ignore anyone who’s suggesting you have less right to be here because you’ve previously posted that you were debt free or because you’re not new to the boards - that is absolutely not how it works, we’re happy to help on DFW.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
