Floor damaged by faulty washing machine repair

I've got a LG washing machine that I purchased in early 2018 and I registered it for the five year warranty online.
In July the machine started making a rumbling noise and I reported it to LG. They sent someone out who diagnosed a bearing failure and a week later two technicians took the machine apart and replaced the full drum assembly.
A few weeks ago my wife noticed a small puddle of water under the front of the machine. I reported it to LG who said it sounded like an issue with the filter and I was told I could continue using the machine if I was happy to put a towel under it. As we have a small baby not using the machine wasn't an option. The earliest someone could come out to fix it is next week.
This morning we noticed water coming through our kitchen floor (solid bamboo) and some of the planks had started to curl upwards. I managed to get the machine out and found a huge amount of water had been running down the back and then under the floor.
Couldn't get through to LG and the isolation valve behind the machine wasn't working so I took the top off.
The inlet valve solenoid inside the machine hadn't been properly done up (I assume from the repair) and water was dripping out even when the machine wasn't in use.

I did it up properly and the leak stopped. I took the back off and using a turkey baster removed two and a half pints of water from the bottom of the machine.
The floor under the machine and in front is ruined. Would LG have any liability for this as it was their faulty repair that caused it?

Yes, they would be liable to repair or replace the damaged section of flooring. Contact them with photos, etc. and see what they say.0

Did you take photos of the leaking inlet valve before you fixed it? If not, how are you going to prove that the leak was caused by a faulty component in the washing machine?
Ideally you should have left it so that the engineer could have seen what caused the leak though I appreciate that this would have left you without a washing machine for some time.1 -
I do have a picture and the component is covered in scale where it's been leaking (a benefit of hard water?).
I couldnt leave it as it was leaking constantly even when off (the valve inside the machine was after the leak). I did initially disconnect the machine but the isolation valve is leaking so I had to reconnect it and do up the loose screws or turn the water off for the house.
