Its very grey. Id probably go with 4 dependants if it was my case to submit. Purely on the basis that hiding dependants to boost affordability is a very common type of fraud. Lenders are vigilant and its not worth the risk.
If your partner lost her job would you let her kids go hungry? Realistically not so best to declare
The affordability difference between 2 dependants and 4 probably isnt much anyway2 -
I've done a comparison and its roughly 10k in difference what they'd lend me0
