Am an Avro>Octopus customer and have been trying for some time to submit an electricity reading but found there is no means of doing so. Yet they're telling me how much electricity I'm using. So how do they know?

Your Octopus account sounds like it might be similar to mine.I have an old Secure electricity SMETS1 smart meter originally fitted by EON in late 2015 when I was with them and always had to submit manual readings to Avro and previous suppliers since EON each month. This smart meter suddenly became smart again and started automatically transmitting data to Octopus after the transfer from Avro to Octopus went live. This data is now visible on my Octopus Dashboard.I've never had a smart gas meter and have always had to submit manual readings to Avro and all previous suppliers each month.Try pressing the Menu icon top left on your Octopus Dashboard which should give a dropdown menu with "Meter readings" being one of the available options. From there I can submit manual meter readings for both Electricity and Gas as long as they are not more than 10 days old.
