Can I cancel Plusnet without payment?

Hello everyone, I have recently changed to Plusnet Broadband, I only did this so that I could access BT sport cheaply by adding the BT sport app to my account. I have been trying since last Saturday to no avail. I have been passed back and forth between BT and Plusnet each blaming the other. After about 6 hours of telephone calls and chats, I finally gave up last night and asked them to remove the app from my Plusnet account.
I am outside of the cooling off period, but can I leave without being charged as I don't believe I am getting the service that I signed up for or am I just stuck with them unable to get the one thing I signed up for? Many thanks for any help you can give me.

First thing to do would be to ask them if you can - explain why you signed up, explain why you're unhappy with the service that they are unable to provide and ask to be released from your contract for this reason.

BT Sport and the BT sport app are bolt-ons and separate from a Plusnet subscription.

OP, what do you wish to cancel? Plusnet (as per your title), BT sport or both? They are different.

You are past the cooling off period and don't appear to have a problem with the Plusnet Broadband service. Is that correct?

Good luck. After terrible experiences I had with them I call them The Plusnet Idiots.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

I would try to download the BT Sports app from google play or other legitimate source .

They might let you out of the contract but you will be expected to pay for the service you've already have though.
