It'[s difficult as PM are not couriers.. they make it clear on their webssite that they act as agents so they are stuck in the middle.
That may be true but that's their job.  Their whole (and only) reason to exist is to act as a middleman.  Part of that service (that they're being paid for) should be dealing with delivery issues as and when they arise.

In their T&Cs Parcel Monkey say:

    Terms and Conditions

    ...(omitted for brevity)...

If you agree to these terms and conditions, you should tick the ‘I agree to the terms and conditions’ box adjacent to the link to these terms and conditions and you will then be able to proceed with an order with us to which these terms and conditions will apply.

If you do not agree to our terms and conditions, then you must not continue with the purchase of our services.

    ...(omitted for brevity)...

You have entered into a contract with Parcel Monkey Ltd and must therefore raise all questions or concerns with Parcel Monkey Ltd via https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk/contactus4.php. Under no circumstances should You make contact directly with our appointed Carrier.

The OP said that Norsk Global is the courier.

    They are very professional.

Apologies I completely missed that even when I went to look for a name!

In that case OP, give them a call and see if they can help at all.
I know PM are the middle man, they have their own warehouses and they do handle parcels. Norks informed that my parcel was sent back to PM warehouse on the 14th of October that was over 3 weeks ago. And the monkey is still telling me  they are investigating or their return team will contact me ones my parcel is back to their warehouse. Either my parcel is in their warehouse or not I don't know.

I don't know the inner working between PM and Norsk; but Norsk says it was returned back to PM and PM says it has not been returned to them. I trust Norsk more than PM but I have no clue what is going on.
'returning it to PM' doesnt really mean it goes back to PM.
Who collected the parcel in the UK? This is the network who will be handing the item

This parcel was destined for somewhere in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a large country, tragically torn by escalating civil war and famine. Thousands of Ethiopians have now died and millions have been forced from their homes. Last week the prime minister declared a state of emergency and Amnesty International has warned that this country, already in dire straits, is on the brink of catastrophe.

I sympathise with Norsk trying to deliver a consignment down roads which might no longer exist to an address that might no longer exist. I also feel for them trying to locate and recover this parcel of goods from a country where the rule of law has broken  down.

But the OP says it was never exported. So it is stuck in another 3rd world country where the rule of law has broken down.
    Not even wrong

OP also says ' I have no clue what is going on' which is probably correct. I would think any reports about goods en route to Ethiopia at present are unreliable.
  • Hello,

    Have an update on this.

After 2 months of wait PM told me my parcel was back to their warehouse and booked a return delivery with Parcelforce (PF) which I paid for the Express 24 delivery service. Consequently according to the tracking number the parcel was collected by PF on 09/11/21.

I was expecting delivery to be made between the 10th to 12th of November but guess what, surprise surprise my parcel was not delivered back to me. The tracking number showed that the parcel was still at PF depot  and when I called PF they told me my parcel was missing and they are investigating.

Imagine losing a 30kg large luggage! To make matters worst I had booked a flight on Sunday 14/11/21 but I can't leave without my luggage so now I have to now cancel my trip. I don't know who to blame at this point the entire state of British service sector seems like a bad joke to me.
