Certainly a fresh water fill will introduce some dissolved air into a system, but this is usually dispelled via the auto air vent.

I'm hoping it isn't corrosion, because the extent of 'air' being bled would suggest some serious stuff going on.

Unless qsk has a multi-storey property and a potential intake leak on the upper floor, a leaking EV seems the most obvious source of this air.

Although the system was filled a while ago, it presumably has only been heated in the past month or so, so sounds like it's been off-gassing since being switched back on (?)

The water is hard, so there's a range of chemicals associated with that.  It would be interesting to know if valving off the old rad does have an effect . .
