Faulty Apple Repair - Am I covered?

The reason I paid for the screen to be repaired 2 years ago was due to the fact it was cracked - the issue occurring now is a new issue.
The Apple store informed me that replacing the screen will resolve the new issue, which indicated that there is a fault with the display and not an issue with the device.
I am scheduled to have a mediation appointment today - I still feel that I am in the right here to be honest, despite my claim not being as strong as it could have been.0
