New Starling Bank debit card design in the wild

I think I saw something about the design changing a while back, but just to confirm they are now out in the wild.

It's a much darker and classier shade now, which I like.

Got my new one this morning (not a joint account)

Massive text like above over the bright green background. Looks horrible in my view

And not a fan of the curved corners either.
May be the final push for me to just use my phone all the time now...  I don't mind turning NFC on and off - I should think I can even automate that with ITTT.
  • Looks gross!
I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.

The corners aren't curved, that's the edges of the cardboard the card comes attached to.

I quite like it.  The idea that a card design can be so important to people they would not use it in person or not join that bank because of it has always been a bizarre quirk to me. Especially on a website like this you might think the money that is being spent from it and the particular perks of the bank/account might be the important thing...

I'm indiffereent - the same way I am about all my cards. I don't care how they look. as long as they work.

    Is the correct answer!

I did look though. B)Maybe a Starling image would be a suitable addition?

It's more an intrigue thing for me. I would never use one account over another because I prefer the card design, unless there was literally nothing else to chose between them.

Apart from anything - I barely ever use a debit card for anything other than MS to fulfill account criteria.
