Changed jobs after mortgage acceptance but before completion date..? So much anxiety, help!

Hi everyone.
First post here and as someone who is relatively young, I've not 100% understood the process of buying a house, but so far we were moving in a positive direction.
My partner and I got a mortgage application accepted by Natwest in the middle of September. My partner has been working at her IT job for 2 years, but she started at a new company last week (in the same role) which is way closer to our current & new house. Her pay will go from 24k to 23k, but she will save 2k a year by walking to work instead of commuting in the car for at least an hour every day.
I've just notified our mortgage advisor of the change earlier this week. I've had no reply so far and am just filled with anxiety, I'm thinking that our lender will retract our offer and we'll end up right back at square one. The process is already taking such a long time. We haven't even got the searches/enquiries back yet from the solicitors let alone any kind of contract or completion date.
I'm wondering if anyone's been in a similar position, or can tell me what kind of thing I should expect. I know it wasn't the best scenario for my partner to switch jobs before we get the keys to the new house but the commute to her old job was just driving her insane and the new company is an amazing company to work for.
Many thanks

Natwest will require 6 months continuous employment but it doesnt have to be in the same role. They will lend on 1st payslip to new customers but as you are already at offer I would expect them to amend this to requesting the contract if the payslip hasn't been generated yet.
Natwest are reasonable, and this wouldnt be something I would worry about if it was my case.1 -
Ah that's great thanks! Luckily she's already received a payslip for the few days she worked at the end of October so that will show her daily pay, which we could send over along with her contract if needed. Feeling slightly less worried now.0

perfect. payslip to confirm she actually started the job and contract to confirm the salary. Sorted1

I changed jobs after my mortgage offer and before exchange. Skipton were fine with it as long as it was a similar job, which it was. They asked about probation periods but my contract didn't mention it. My salary increased though so I'm not sure what they would have said if it decreased. I suppose it depends on what you earn and what you're borrowing.Mortgage at 30: £204,750 (08/2020)
Current mortgage: £145,448 (11/2024)
Goal: £145,000 by 02/2025
End goal: Mortgage free asap!0
