We bought a school bag for my son at the end of the summer from schoolbagstation.com which now does not exist. The brand is HYPE so not a cheap schoolbag. Two of the zips have broken so we tried to contact the people we bought it from with no luck. What is our next steps to get this replaced?

No one or company exists so you have no one to claim from.
You may be able to do a charge back if debit card or an S75 if the bag was over £100
Other than that repair it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The company is in the process of being wound up but is still solvent THE SCHOOLBAG STATION LTD insolvency - Find and update company information - GOV.UK (company-information.service.gov.uk) - this is the company listed as the owners of the domain name
Napier Solicitors in Belfast seem to be dealing with the winding up and so you could contact them and present yourself as an unsecured creditor0 -
Is Hype the manufacturer - you could try contacting them?1

It’s odd, the company is in voluntary liquidation but per the special resolution that was passed, it seems anything but voluntary (it seems to be insolvent). As a result, I suspect you’ll have little joy with getting any money back as a creditor.Sandtree said:The company is in the process of being wound up but is still solvent THE SCHOOLBAG STATION LTD insolvency - Find and update company information - GOV.UK (company-information.service.gov.uk) - this is the company listed as the owners of the domain name

I would have a go at contacting the manufacturer but as you have no rights with them, as you didn't buy direct, then anything you get would be a gesture of goodwill.
Might be worth a try thought.
Is the bag genuine and not a fake?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Companies House state its Members Voluntary Liquidation which can only be used if its solvent; the special resolution passed by the board does state liabilities mean it cannot continue which is somewhat at odds to that. Their 2021 balance sheet shows £70k in the black, an improvement from the 2020 £50k.longjohnjohnson said:

If it were insolvent then a Creditor Voluntary Liquidation process should be stated, which despite its name can be initiated by the directors as well as creditors.
