Odd Resolver Information Request…

Hi, 

I wasn’t sure where to put this question, so hope this will do.

I've opened a complaint to Booking.com via Resolver after a stay in a dreadful & filthy supposedly 4* hotel 

ive had a reply to my Resolver inbox asking the following in order that they can respond 

This looks dodgy to me, given the PIN number request & that I’ve already added the email & booking ref information 


am I being paranoid here… thank you 



We need a bit more information to help you faster and better. Please reply to this email with the following details:

• Confirmation number: 
• PIN number: 
• Email address used to make the reservation: 
• Accommodation name and location: 
• Check-in and check-out dates:

    Seems fair enough to me, especially if it's come through their own secure messaging system.  There's no personal or card details on there.

    Because a certain unnamed site made assertions that using their partner site would reap better results/rewards.

    Instead what happened was it added in a third party, a whole load of bureaucracy and the likelihood that any company with its head screwed on relegated 'Resolver' complaints to the bottom of the pile
