Viagogo. Have people received their money back?

Hi, I'm new to this website. Never in my life been scammed before. Ordered some tickets online in a hurry to get in the queue, after googling ticketmaster.
Stupidly, viagogo came up in my inbox after I ordered 4 tickets. Came to just over £600. No terms and conditions when I first did the order. Since then, I had an email saying the tickets would come through a week before the event. Not been to many gigs before, so naively thought this was dodgy. Then as soon as I realised the whole viagogo thing was dodge, I googled a lot of things, and felt sick ttothe stomach to read that they r a scam.
However, the bank r saying they r legitimate.  Citizens advice r saying they aren't, and put me in contact with the fraud action line. I've since re sold the tickets, and have been told i'll get the money a week before the event. I don't believe them, and this won't be for the full amount, as they've put fees on top as well. In the memeantime i've tried contacting Wembley stadium to find out if they accept re sold tickets, but I can't get through. I feel really stupid. Can anyone else relate to this situation recently, or have gone through the financial ombudsman with any luck, or have any suggestions? I feel pretty desperate and extremely embarrassed.

They are a market place for the reselling of tickets and whilst the company has had run ins with regulators in many countries they are not ultimately a scam and have followed (many of) the changes requested by the UK CMA such as identifying if the seller is a professional (more than 100 tickets a year) or not.

I'm confused however, if you feel you have been scammed and wont receive the tickets what do you think you have sold on? Sounds like if it is a scam then you are complicit with it having now had someone commit to pay you for the tickets you dont think are legit.

They're not scammers, but they're not a business I would buy from or sell through.

Given that you've subsequently sold the tickets on, just wait for your money to come through and accept that you will have recovered most of your outlay.

They're not a scam, just a ticket tout, albeit one who has had issues in the past and have been told to comply with more rules!

Ok, so you are re-selling them with Viagogo I assume? (even though you think this is a scam?!?). You are using their service so it is fair enough you pay a fee to sell the tickets on. I am surprised you get the money a week before. I thought you got it once the event had taken place and the buyer was happy?

I'm not sure how it works buying them re-selling on when you don't have the tickets in your possession in the first place. I assume you will receive them from YOUR seller, then will you have to pay for 24 hour tracked postage to get them to the person YOU sold them to??

The main issues I have read about are people who cannot get in to events with their tickets (so they are refunded) or people who have sold tickets but no longer want to sell, so are made to pay the difference for the next best tickets.

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Nothing to do with financial ombudsman....

As above they are a legitimate company based in Switzerland that has been trading in a way that has seen them in trouble with the consumer regulators.
