Exactly Heinz. The only bit I realy have a problem with is when other providers lie and claim they cant do it and only BT can.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20

So Ofcom need to make another rule.
If you want to be a phone provider, you have to have a Universal service obligation.0 -
finally sorted...i think?
hard work talking to Orange mind!
i explained the situation, got put through to the home moving dept, eventually they found out they do install, even quoted me cheaper than BT!
i said i'd ring back in 5, needed to confirm the post code and stuff,
rang back,
Orange then told me they dont and never had installed lines!!!
i said i'd just spoken to them and they quoted me a price,
they said id been told wrong, and needed to call BT,
i said no, you get Openreach to install, not BT, its nothing to do with them,
the salesman then said i should call Openreach and pay them to do it!
after asking to speak to a supervisor, they accepted that they do installs and arranged a date,
why do i get a feeling it aint sorted yet?0 -
Hi I have recently moved home 26th November and took advantage of their half price installation offer. I found out about it on this website so someone will remember as the bt staff don't tell you about it until you ask for it. If you require anything further on it let me know as I saved the document. shrewdal0

How much did Orange quoted you for the new line? Sky install new Line for free
but you have to be a new customer and have Sky TV with them.0 -

As the original post is over a year old i.e. December 2007 when it was started and we're now in 2009 you might get more success by PM'ing the person quoting their thread and asking for help.
Bringing up an old thread is very easy to do by accident.
Good luck.0
