Smart meters and solar panels

Pure Planet wanted to fit a gen2 smart meter but when I said that I had solar panels they backed out. The reason given was that the solar panels would make the smart meter run backwards 😀 Anyone else heard / been told this?

Ah well, I await with interest.

My initial FIT was with OVO, but moved to npower, who are now Eon Next.

My supplier, Symbio, will now be Eon Next as well (sometime soon!).

Symbio fitted a new SMETS2 meter shortly before their demise, but never commissioned it.

So we shall see!
