PPI tax refund, not so easy when you have Discoolalua

Hi
I am at this time trying to get a PPI tax refund, I am a none tax payer and paid tax on the claim. I have had an absolute nightmare with customer services and I am trying to get a resolution through Resolver. This has been going on months now, I asked for help, sent all documents etc and I have hit a brick wall. Despite having a good honours degree I have a massive problem with discoolalia in other words I don’t understand simple numbers, it’s a recognised learning disability and it’s both embarrassing and frustrating. I asked for help with the R40 form, I won’t go into all the details here, suffice to say I believe I have been discriminated against on the grounds of my disability. I am now on their tier 2 level complaint and still all I have received are automated responses. Thank goodness for Resolver, they have at least helped with advice about structuring my complaint. It really is time for Government departments to start signposting people with disabilities to specialist advisors at the very start of an enquiry and or when asking for help with tax and associated forms. It should not get to the complaint stage when it involves inequality.
