Hello all, brr it's cold but the sun is shining and it's dry, so that'll do for me. Some of the items for the sm delivery yesterday were OOS by the time they were picked, no crisps of any sort for Mr Fix It and no ice cream either 😧 He eats too many crisps anyway and I have alternatives for puddings, so we won't starve. The turkey was smaller than ordered too but it's usable at a time other than xmas so it's stashed in the bottom of the freezer. It'll be no good for xmas, as himself and Dad are big meat eaters and they'd demolish that and leave nothing for some turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwiches for little old me 😋Dad isn't coming over today, he'd forgotten that he's having his flu jab, so we've changed things till Friday now. He's also booked himself chez nous for a haircut, I must have saved him £'s over the years 😁. The broadband engineer was supposed to be back today but he's been for a PCR test so that's been rescheduled for some time this week 😡 Now I have to ring our surgery to give them my mobile number as I have a GP consult booked for tomorrow and I don't know if we will have a landline or not. As I hadn't sorted anything specific to do today, I will just potter about.Hugs to those in need and those with work issues.Take care all, stay safe and warm.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Real life has caught up with me again, yesterday DB fell, he seemed ok bit complained later his back hurt, this morning he shouted me, pain in his hip, he did the usual and passed out...... he is in bed sleeping, I have dosed him, will see how he is when he eventually wakes up. If he continues to moan it will be an ambulance. Very fed up!!!9 -
Oh dear Csarina, sorry to hear of DBs fall-hope he feels better once he wakes.I'm just finishing off some corned beef hash we had for our tea last night. I'm glad I had it ready to heat as my cousin and I were quite late going home after our visit to our relative. We had a lovely lunch and my cakes went down well, plenty left for DH & everyone else. I did offer to leave some with our hostess but she is back on her diet and wanted temptation removedHad my T delivery earlier, and before it arrived I was talking to next door & mentioned they were coming- we've got one soon too was the reply. I saw it pull up and take theirs in, & after he got back in his van read his instructions and got back out again to fetch ours .I told the driver we hadn't arranged it like that , but he laughed and said it worked out great for him & saved a few milesTake care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Went to help at friendship and lunch club at the SA. Lovely food as usual.
Heating went on as soon as we got home.
Had a lazy afternoon and no cooking to do as we ate at lunch time.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
