I popped off the charcoal/pellets filters and the suction got very slightly better, enough to suck some of the steam.
I don't see any obstructions inside and the duct inside seems clear and open so confused as to why its not sucking much better.
Paired up with the use of trickle vent when necessary I think it will have to do the job for now.

Suppose it is tricky of you cannot check the exhaust directly. Are there any reviews on this extractor? I used "Which" to check which hood I was buying and in the reviews are some that don't cut it.
Edit. Just a thought, ours has a backdraught preventer, like a one way valve, very weak spring for obvious reasons but could that be greased up? Not sure how you would check that on yours.0
