Tea Rooms in London

Hi we are visiting London soon and would like to take relatives somewhere nice for tea and cakes, we are not looking for afternoon tea in hotels that is out of our price range thank you

    Selfridges have a very nice food court on the 4th floor. The National Gallery do a cream tea in their Vault Café and there is a lovely café under St Martin's in the Fields (near Charing Cross) that do a decent range of options too.

    There are a few chains like Patisserie Valerie etc that offer cream teas. 

    Which bit of London are you going to, and what is your budget? It's a huge place! 
    Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

    Thank you for the recommendations some great ideas! we will be trying to visit a lot of the main tourist sites, probably looking at around £25 - £30 budget - thanks again for the helpful information
