Best way to seal UPVC window sill back to the brickwall

Options
Just moved into our new house then the window sills at the front need a bit of TLC as you can see from the photo the sealant has come away from the bay window. this has happened on both sides and on both the bottom and top windows.

Just wanted to see if there was something better to do other than cutting the old sealant out and reapplying fresh sealant?

uPVC expands and contracts a lot more than the surrounding brickwork (by a lot). The sealant isn't flexible enough, and over time, it will detach from one surface at least. The answer is to cut out the sealant and reapply. This will need to be done again in a few years time - Not a lot you can do about that I'm afraid.

Thanks for that good info there. Will wait for this wet weather to clear and get the sealant gun out!

As above . Although you could try and flaunch a bit of sand and cement just across your joggles . I would do what bear said tho . Make sure both surfaces are clean and dry
