Blue light filter question

I've downloaded the Blue light filter pro - night mode app on my Pixel phone. I've allowed it permission to my camera and allowed it to "display over other apps".
But whenever i turn the blue light filter on, nothing works. If I tap on any apps, nothing happens and nothing happens if i swipe so I have to just turn the blue light filter off to regain control of my phone. Just wondered if anyone can advise me how to sort this? Thanks

Some people have left reviews stating the same problem, I doubt the developer really cares once they get their money for the app.
However you should be able to do it for free, it is built into most Android flavours as standard and these are the instructions for a Pixel phone.
