One. It was zero up until a few months ago.I’m on a few different hobby forums. This thread astonished me until I realised, after reading the post above me, that this too is a hobby forum.0

All very individual.
I've got three figures.
But maintenance of them takes lots of organisation.
Not sure what you'll get out of this thread.
Having the money in 'relatively' okayish rates with accessibility meant I was able to not lose too much money, to inflation, and act fast to secure a house purchase.

I do not keep a lot of my assets in cash. Neither do I have the inclination to constantly chase the best deals and therefore only have two cash savings accounts. I have a cash savings account with the same bank with whom I have a current account. This is for short-term stuff as such and holds money I put away for car expenses/replacement, holidays and similar expenses. I also have a cash account with Marcus that holds my cash 'reserve'. This is being built up over the next five years or so as I approach retirement and will be my cash buffer when I go into income drawdown.0

Just checked - I have 39 (not counting investment accounts).0

We have many more than 3 each.dranzer01 said:Do people have? I have spoken to a few people in my time and it seems they have on average three. I found this number to be quite incredible and then I wondered how much are you transferring into said three savings accounts each month.
Would you say three savings accounts is quite the norm?
But we don't transfer into them 'each month'. We use them to keep pots of money for various needs, and also, when appropriate, move those pots around to new accounts to get better interest.
That is not unusual.
And as for paying in 'each month' many of the best interest rates are for fixed rate, fixed term accounts - which you can't pay into every month, just once at the start.0 -
I have my current account.. which i've had for 15 years, one ISA account with Vanguard.. a joint account with my partner.. and then I have one other account that I use for some speculative punts
Think that just makes 2 active 'savings' accounts, 4 total accounts that I interact with somewhat regularly
I kind of have a snail trail of an old build society account, a couple of other investment /savings accounts that have like a few pence in them that I used at some point in time and I have never closed
I wouldn't want to handle the admin of more..
