Gambling app closed me down

I use a couple of apps but one called Novibet closed me down without notice and won’t give a reason. I deposited £10 and withdrew 41p along with it and next day closed down how to I appeal or complain? Perhaps they don’t like you using the free spin wheels yet it’s only ever pennies you win.

  • There is no appeal, they can decide to do business with you or not and in this case they have decided not to.

It also sounds like you deposited £10 and withdrew £10.41 successfully, so you are not owed anything either. Move on and join a different site.

Thanks yes move on is all I can do. They refused to issue a reason for closure
  • A blessing in disguise, and you got out with your money intact.  Nothing to complain about.

They dont have to, you only have grounds for complaint if you can demonstrate its been closed in relation to a protected characteristic (race, sexual orientation etc)

Novibet will have, for some reason, taken against something you did or otherwise decided that you are not the right customer for them.  If you were spending hours playing for very low stakes on 'free' one armed bandits, they might have suspected you of using some sort of automatic gambling software to do it for you.  I appreciate that one isn't going to make a fortune doing that, but what's to stop one doing it at every casino?
Either way you've been thrown out of somewhere you shouldn't be in, so take it as a blessing.

You get maybe a few free spins every day that’s all tended not to deposit much or play as the withdrawal time is quite slow. I am surprised as these free things are often seen as a way to make you gamble real money. My wife has an account with them and she doesn’t deposit much so they will prob come and shut her down too.

I had the same issue with another betting site they took ages to verify so I reported it the app was actually pulled from App Store. I think it’s called resolver the site you can report it and go to the Ombudsman. Sure I can use other sites but it’s best to go via all relevant channels or they will shut other people down without reason. Unlike bookie shops these apps shut people down for anything like a big win ect

That's because they're sharks, Harold Shand in virtual reality.  It's hardly surprising that their business practices leave something to be desired.  Money saving tip: don't bother.

Resolver is merely a means to generate a complaint email - something you can do yourself. They're not a consumer rights champion or any form of ombudsman or legal help line.
