AA Driving School - are not fit for purpose

I have AA recovery and hence when my daughter wanted to start driving I book with the AA Driving school who were discounting their lessons, Post COVID I guess, and I paid for six lessons for my daughter back in the first week of September 2021. When I finally managed to get an available slot, so I booked it and noted it in my diary. Since I have not received a confirmation email of anything from the instructor or the driving school I tied to call the number provided, only to be told to go online. Which I did and the only resort with the "Chat" line which was never available! I preserved and finally go through. It was confirmed that my daughter was booked and they gave me her ID number. So I check and she was booked for that day. Of course, the instructor did not turn up! So I went online and complained, but nothing. the next day I sent a long time to get on chat and complied. I was told there was a problem with the system. I said this was not acceptable and why was I not informed? To this, he kept repeating "a problem of their system". So I demanded compensation but was told this. they did not do. I kept on. and was told I could get a refund!. I ask for compensation for the. wait of. time the fact my daughter missed a day for work. But nothing. I told him that when I booked I was given a special price, so compensation for this. But he said he could book another instructor. So accepted this. Of course on the day of the second lesson. No booking and no instructor. I again send complaints and nothing... I can't even get through on this 'Chat line" which is always busy... Any suggestions?

Book with someone else.
But be aware, waiting list for instructors are very long.0 -
Far better to use a well established independent instructor. Get your daughter to ask her friends who they are using. My dad did the job for over 25 years, he never advertised as word of mouth was enough to keep him busy.
Large outfits such as AA rely on those who think driving instruction is their calling. They give it a go, maybe get their licence to instruct, then realise you need to work long and unsociable hours to make money so leave.
